Nutrition

The right diet can have a huge influence on our health and well-being. While there is no single diet that is healthy for everyone, there are some general rules that usually apply. The most important, beneficial change that most people could make to their diet is to eat more vegetables and fruit, only fresh unprocessed food, and drink more water.

Even a healthy diet does not necessarily mean that we are absorbing adequate vitamins and minerals. Stress, digestive problems, and some drugs can impair our ability to absorb nutrition from the food that we eat. The quality of non-organic fruit and vegetables is damaged by the widespread use of pesticides, fungicides, and poor quality fertilisers. Foods from supermarkets can be stored for long periods and still look good, but lack nutritional benefit. While anyone can tinker with their diet, the ability to apply nutrition to health calls for the skills of a nutritional practitioner.

Nutrition and naturopathy are therapies that use food, some supplementary nutrients, and cleansing procedures to alleviate or prevent health problems. Nutritional therapy can be useful for all medical conditions.

Children can be safely treated in this way. Children with eczema and glue ear are regularly treated in this practice.
